BEST PRIVACY FENCE COMPANY
ATTRACTIVE & DURABLE PRIVACY FENCING

Privacy Fence Installation

Allen Fence Company provides professional privacy fence installation for residential and commercial properties. A well-built privacy fence changes how a yard feels — it gives you a backyard you actually want to spend time in, without neighbours on both sides or traffic from the street cutting into it. We build privacy fences in cedar, vinyl, and aluminum, and we install them to last through Ontario’s climate without leaning, sagging, or needing constant attention.

Every privacy fence installation we do starts with posts set in concrete at proper frost depth. That’s the detail most budget installs skip, and it’s why those fences start shifting after the first winter. We don’t cut corners on the foundation because everything above it depends on it.

Privacy Fence Materials

Cedar wood is the most popular choice for privacy fencing and the material we work with most. Cedar handles Ontario’s freeze-thaw cycles well, resists moisture better than most other wood species, and gives a fence the natural warmth and character that vinyl and metal can’t replicate. We build cedar privacy fences in several styles — standard board-on-board, board and batten, friendly neighbour, and horizontal — depending on the look you’re after. Visit our wood fence page for a full breakdown of each style.

Vinyl privacy fencing is a good fit if low maintenance is the priority. It doesn’t rot, doesn’t need painting, and holds its colour over time. Vinyl comes in a range of styles and heights and is a solid long-term investment if you want a fence that asks very little of you after installation. It’s a particularly good option for families with young children or pets who need a clean, secure perimeter around the yard.

Aluminum privacy panels are available for applications where you want the ornamental metal look with more screening. Aluminum doesn’t rust or corrode and requires minimal upkeep once installed. It’s a less common choice for full privacy fencing but works well in specific situations — particularly where the aesthetic matters as much as the screening. Visit our aluminum fence page for more information.

Privacy Fence Heights and Options

Most residential privacy fences run 6 feet tall — enough to screen a standard backyard from neighbours and passers-by. Taller sections are possible where needed, subject to local bylaws. We check height and setback requirements for your municipality before installation so the fence is compliant without you having to research it yourself.

Gates are built and hung as part of the same installation. Walk gates and double drive gates are framed with proper diagonal bracing and fitted with outdoor-rated hardware so they hang square and stay that way. A gate that sags or binds is a framing problem — we don’t leave those behind.

Why Choose Allen Fence Company for Privacy Fence Installation

We’re a family-owned fence contractor. When you call 289-275-9185, you’re talking to the people who will show up and do the work — not a call centre booking a crew you’ve never met. We carry full liability insurance, pull permits where required, and provide written quotes before any work begins. No subcontracting, no surprises on the invoice.

Privacy fence installation is one of our most common projects, and we’ve seen the full range of what gets built out there — fences that hold their line for twenty years and fences that need pushing back into place by the second spring. The difference almost always comes down to post depth and material quality. We do it right the first time.
